The Tree is a one-of-a-kind silver gelatin print created using liquid emulsion on beautifully textured Khadi paper. Each layer of emulsion is brushed onto the handmade cotton paper by hand, allowing the image to emerge through expressive, visible strokes that reveal the form of the tree in a tactile, intimate way.

Because the emulsion is applied manually, no two prints can ever be replicated. The brushwork, the flow of the emulsion, and the organic nature of Khadi paper all contribute to a print that is deeply individual—part photograph, part painting, part object.
